A. R. Jarvis was born and raised in Madison, WI. She went to college at Beloit College in Beloit, WI where she earned a degree in art. Despite finding her art degree to be very… ‘useful,’ she began working in Outdoor Education, a field where she remained on-and-off for several years, before having a quarter-life-ish crisis which culminated in her changing her ‘career path.’ Currently she waffles between being slightly employed and being slightly less employed, both of which provide plenty of time for hobbies such as reading, writing, and arithmetic (she’s gotten really good at negative numbers lately).
