Wednesday, January 26th, 2011Serial Updates
This week, we’ve got Part 1 of Case 006: Danced to Pieces, part of Megan Derr’s Dance in the Dark. We also have the first two chapters of Love & Wrath by Kaseka Nvita. The first chapter is available for free; you must be subscribed to read Chapter Two.

The worst thing to keep from your lover is a secret…
Mallory is in love; his boyfriend Alex is all that he could possibly want, and the life they’re building together makes him happy—almost happy enough to ignore the fact that Alex is clearly keeping secrets. As close as they are, Mallory knows practically nothing about him. Alex travels a lot, and frequently comes home smelling of blood, reluctant to discuss his mysterious job. As Mallory has a secret of his own that he is loathe to share, he lets it go.
Until Alex comes home smelling strongly of magic, and Mallory’s need to know overcomes his desire to leave well enough alone and cling to happiness. But his need to know has unexpected consequences, and puts both of their lives in danger…
Warning! This story contains graphic violence.

In this first volume of many to come, see what happens when a humble blacksmith fights a duel, a prince conspires with bandits, and a lonely thief seeks shelter in a lone tower. See a goblin try to save his brother, and a tutor watch over his perfect princess, while a shy prince braves a mountain in the name of love. See what happens when a runaway prince must be tracked down, when dark rumors surface a gloomy castle, and when a young man saves a little girl, and a lonely soldier hunts down a band of robbers. See a stable boy save his best friend, and a prince save his mother, while a humble gardener faces down a terrible beast and a poor young man befriends a troll. Watch what unfolds when a sad young man is bound to a toad, and a prince confronts an evil witch, and a quiet mage seeks to break a terrible curse.

PayPal Error with Failed Subscription Payment
Wednesday, August 18th, 2010PayPal is not currently sending out notification emails for failed subscription payments. They are aware of this bug and are working to fix it, but they cannot give an estimate of when notifications will resume. Unfortunately, this means that if your subscription payment to LT3 fails three times, your subscription is then canceled with no email warning.
When a subscription payment made through PayPal fails, they automatically try again after three days. If the second attempt fails, they again try three days later. If the third payment fails, the subscription is canceled.
More unfortunate news: there is no way for us to reset accounts to the previous subscription rate of $2.95. If your subscription is canceled, you will have to subscribe at the new rate of $3.25. Until this bug is fixed on PayPal’s end, we advise you to keep an eye on your subscription to make sure your payments are going through correctly.
Also, a reminder—If you need to set up a new credit card for your subscription, make certain the new credit card is in place before you delete your old card from PayPal. For details on how to switch the card used for your subscription, see the FAQ.
As always, thank you for your patience and for all your support!

New ebook: Highland Wolves by Megan Derr
You can now purchase Highland Wolves, a short story by Megan Derr, from the ebook market.
Ulrich is tired of being far from home. He misses the high mountains of his homeland, the familiarity and comfort of living amongst Pack. The thin, weak wolves of the lowlands grate, and he is ready to be done with his duty to the King and return home. Sent on assignment to find the reason behind the death of a fellow wolf, he hopes that by fulfilling the mission, he will have paid his dues and be permitted to return home.
The very last thing he expects to encounter in the wild woods of the lowlands is a wild mage who on the surface seems to hate wolves and everything associated with them. But as Ulrich digs deeper, and danger forces them closer, he realizes that the mage is so much more than he seems—and too much for Ulrich.
