Shipping and paperback sales

Due to some crossed wires between our Book Market software and the U.S.P.S. shipping calculator, shipping costs were often calculated to be dramatically higher than they should be for our larger paperbacks or orders with multiple books. As a result, LT3 has changed how we calculate shipping to more accurately reflect actual shipping costs.

  • Small orders (typically 2 thick books or a combination of 3-5 thin books) are charged a flat $5.00 shipping.
  • Large orders (typically more than 2 thick books) are charged a flat $10.50 shipping.
  • Orders for over $40.00 in product (typically large orders) are shipped for free!

As a result of these changes, Less Than Three Press is extending our paperbook sale through Labor Day (September 5 at midnight). All paperbacks are 15% off between now and the end of the day Monday, September 5. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Note: Contacting the Editor-in-Chief

Less Than Three Press’s Editor-in-Chief and CFO Samantha Derr is currently without power due to the damage caused by Hurricane Irene. If you have questions or are waiting for or expecting something from her, rest assured she will get back to you as soon as possible. The current estimate is that her power will be restored by Friday. If you need a question answered immediately, please email admin@lessthanthreepress.com and another staff member will get back to you as soon as possible.

All that changes, however, when a moment of carelessness results in a chance meeting. Brody is everything that Davis is not supposed to want, so far from his tightly-regulated world that spending even thirty seconds with him would be a foolish waste of time. But every other day hasn’t worked out so great, and Davis decides that for just one day, maybe he should try something different…

Impractical: the cover Terrell believes very strongly in an ordered, practical lifestyle. Nothing good, after all, ever came from following impractical urges and impulses. Nearly finished with school, it is time to focus on the next step in his life—settling down at his estate, Fivecoats, and marrying a suitable spouse to oversee it while he pursues his academic leanings. When his father sends word that he has found the ideal man for Terrell to marry, Terrell can only be pleased—despite the misgivings of his best friend. Marriage, after all, is perfectly practical, and such things as romance highly impractical.

Kirian wants nothing to do with practicality. His parents chose to be happy over being practical, and he refuses to settle for less, no matter what everyone around him says. But then he is forced to marry a man who is colder than ice, settle into a marriage that seems to be in all ways practical, but in no way happy. But beneath the surface of his new spouse, Kirian sees something far from icy, something he realizes he wants—but which seems to belong to another man.

New “Bundle” format and extended downloads

LT3 is making our ebooks easier to read across many platforms! If you prefer to read PDFs on your PC but still want an ePUB for your eReader, you can now buy both at once! Private Dicks: Undercovers, an LT3 call for submissions

OPEN TO SUBMISSIONPrivate Dick: Undercovers
The life of a private investigator is boring more often than it is exciting—tracking debtors, tailing cheating spouses, and long hours of surveillance do not add up to a sizzling life of mystery and romance.

But every now and then there comes a case that takes all a good PI has to offer and demands still more. A case that requires not just time and effort, but sliding in to another skin to find that clue or witness that will break the case. How far will a PI go to do his job; how high will he climb, how low will he sink?

Give us your stories of private investigators willing to don any guise to solve the case.

THE DETAILS:

  • Deadline is January 4TH
  • Stories should be approx 10,000-20,000 words in length (a little longer or shorter is fine).
  • Stories must have a happily ever after end.
  • Any genre is acceptable; stories may be contemporary, paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi, etc. There must be a strong element of a private investigator going undercover, but be as creative as you like in executing that theme. We are looking for fun, unique spins on this popular genre.
  • All usual LT3 submission guidelines apply.
  • Payment is $150.00, electronic copies, and two copies of the print book.

Reminder: Angels and Vixen Submissions

Remember! Submissions for the Something Happened on the Way to Heaven close on June 30, 2011 and submissions for Vixen close on July 31, 2011! If you need more time to finish your submissions, email the editor and request a deadline extension.

Less than a century ago, the world was a dangerous place. Monsters ran wild, and the only thing more dangerous was the humans attempting to control them. The chaotic lands were eventually tamed by a group of people who came to be known as the Crown, and they formed a government that helped to maintain peace in the untamed lands.

Bannick Poore is one such maintainer of peace, an infamous Priest with guns at his hips and a blood red collar around his throat. He is equal parts mage and gunslinger, and it is his sworn duty to uphold the law and drive back the monsters that still crop up in a land that is still learning to be civilized…
