When I pay for a subscription, does that give me access to all chapters that were previously released?
Yes, except those stories that have been completed and removed from the serial fiction section. You can purchase completed books from the Book Market.
What happens if I register, but do not complete the payment step?
Your account is added to our database after you enter your account details and the screen with our Terms and Conditions displays. If you reach this step, but do not complete payment (on the screen after the Terms and Conditions display), you can set up your subscription payment later by logging into your account from the sidebar.
Am I prompted to pay when my subscription runs out? Or am I warned if my subscription is close to expiring?
If you pay with a credit card or with PayPal, your subscription is automatically renewed unless your payment information changes or you manually cancel the subscription. If you accidentally unsubscribe, you will receive a notification that your account has expired, but you can easily renew your subscription by logging into your account.
If the credit card you used to sign up for a subscription is about to expire or you want to change the credit card you use to pay for your subscription, you can update the credit card from your account. Click the "View Your Account" link from the Serial Fiction menu, and click the "Update Credit Card Info" link in the Resources section. You can then enter the new credit card information. Your next serial subscription payment is applied to the new credit card.
If the funding source in PayPal that you use to pay for your subscription expires or is otherwise unavailable, you will need to change the funding source for your subscription payment. If you do not do this before you remove or update the credit card details, your subscription is automatically canceled. To change the funding source for your LT3 subscription, complete the following steps*:
Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
Place your mouse over "More filters" to open a menu.
Then, place your mouse over the "Subscriptions and agreements" to open an additional menu.
Click "Details" next to the first payment you made for the subscription.
Scroll down and choose the new funding source.
If your subscription is canceled, you will still be able to log in and read fiction until your subscription expires. At this point, you can log into your account settings and renew your account through the options supplied.

Are the chapters downloadable or only accessible on the site?
Chapters are currently readable only on the Less Than Three Press web site. Once a serial story completes, it is made available to subscription members as a downloadable ebook in PDF and ePUB formats for a short period of time (usually two weeks). After this, the ebook is available from the Book Market.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Currently, LT3 Press does not offer gift certificates for our serial subscriptions. If you would like to manually add paid menbership time to another user's account or to create a paid account for a user, contact us and we will set this up for you.
Can I pay for several months subscription or a full year?
LT3 Press currently offers the following options for subscriptions:
Pay $3.25 each month
Pay $18.60 every six months
Pay $35.40 every year
If you would like to pay for a subscription increment that is not available, contact the admin.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel a subscription, complete the following steps:
log into your account (click the "View My Account" link from the Serial Fiction menu).
In the "Payment History" section, click the Cancel link next to the serial subscription you want to cancel.
If you paid via PayPal, you are taken to PayPal's website to cancel your subscription. (PayPal will direct you once you are logged in.)
If you paid via credit card, you are prompted to confirm you want to cnacel your subscription. Click Yes.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, PayPal, checks, and money orders. Please do not send us cash. For details, see About subscription to Less than Three Press.
Will the subscription rate change based on how many serial stories you offer?
The subscription rate may increase if we add more stories to our serial fiction rotation. Any rate increases will be announced at least one month in advance of the change.
Do you accept currencies other than USD?
For currencies other than USD, PayPal and our credit card processor automatically convert your payment to the proper currency. If you want to send a check or money order with a foreign currency, please contact us prior to sending this to ensure that we can process your payment.
I had a problem downloading my book or my book does not open. What do I do?
If your ebook purchase will not download, restart your browser and try the download again. You can download each book you order up to 8 times. If restarting your browser does not work, contact us with your order number, email address, and a detailed description of the problem, including any error messages you received.
Can I use my serial account log-in to access my Book Market account?
The Book Market uses a different software system than our serial subscription software; as such, it requires a separate log-in to access your account information. LT3 Press recommends that you create a second account that has a matching user name and password for both your serial and Book Market accounts.
How do I download my ebook if I accidentally close my browser window before downloading my purchase?
Go to the Book Market.
In the Login box in the sidebar, sign in to your account.
The My Account box appears in the sidebar. Click the My Account link.
Click the View button next to your order.
Under the second heading, the items you ordered will be displayed; you can download your ebooks up to three times within the seven days after your purchase. Click the Download button or the title of the book you purchased to download it.
If you are past the 7 day download period, contact us and we will reset your downloads.
Can I re-download a previous purchase if my computer suffers catastrophic failure?
You can download each book you purchase up to eight times within 180 days of purchase. After this period of time, contact us with your order number and email address and we will reset your downloads. You can view all previous orders (and order numbers) by logging into your Book Market account.
When does an ebook become available for preorder?
An ebook becomes available for preorder once it reaches the copy editing phase of our editing process. This allows us to guarantee the release date.
Do I get notified when a preorder is available for download?
Yes. Less Than Three Press sends an email notification when preordered ebooks are available for download. This email includes details on how to access your download.
Can I preorder a paperback?
No. Less Than Three Press does not currently offer preorders for paperbacks.
Do I get any deals for preordering?
Yes. Less Than Three Press currently offers a 15% off discount for all preorders.
Do you accept submissions?
Yes! If you are interested in submitting a story, check out the the Submissions page for details.
Are stories works in progress, or are they complete?
Stories will not be posted for serialization until they are at least 80% completed, with a guarantee of completion.
Do you accept cover art?
If you are interested in providing cover art for Less Than Three Press, email us with a link to your portfolio and your rates.
When do new books, chapters, and stories come out?
To see the update schedule for a serial story, refer to the serial fiction page. We update our serial stories once per week, every Wednesday.
To see our upcoming serial and ebook releases, check out the coming soon page. Less Than Three Press does not have a set schedule for releasing paperbacks, so keep an eye on the Book Market for paperback releases.
How do I get in touch with an author?
You can send comments, critiques, and reviews for all Less Than Three authors to our editorial board at email@example.com. Our editor will then pass them along to the author. Alternately, feel free to leave comments on our news posts; these comments will also be forwarded to our authors.
Can I get a refund?
Less Than Three Press will not refund subscription or ebook purchases in the case that you do not like the content of the story. If you cannot access our subscription area after your payment has cleared or if you cannot download an ebook after you have completed your purchase, contact us. Please include a copy of your invoice, your payment details, and your account information, particularly the user name and email address associated with your account.
What shipping methods do you offer?
We use the United States Postal Service to ship packages. Currently, we ship using priority shipping.
Do you ship to international addresses?
Yes, we currently offer international shipping, but only manually. We recommend that international customers purchase paperbacks through Amazon or Barnes & Noble, as they offer less expensive shipping options due to their large volume. If you want to order paperbacks directly from us, please contact us for a quote.
How do you calculate shipping charges?
LT3 ships using flat rate priority mail boxes. Shipping charges are based on the size of the box in which the order is shipped.

Smaller orders typically consist of 2 large books or up to four smaller books; larger orders typically consist of 3 or more large books or 5 or more smaller books.
Why is my shipping charge zero ($0)?
If you order more than $40 in books and are shipping within the United States, you get free shipping! If your order is not over $40 and you receive an erroneous shipping charge of $0, we will get in touch with you to make sure your order is being shipped correctly. Please note that free shipping is not available to international or Canadian customers.
When will my order be shipped?
Orders are typically shipped within 1-3 business days of the order being placed. Typically, orders placed by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time will be shipped the next day, with the exception of orders placed after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday; these orders will be shipped on Monday.
What if I receive books I did not order or damaged books?
Contact us for instructions on how to return the books. Shipping for these returns is paid for by Less Than Three Press.
In the case of the incorrect order being shipped to you, we will send the correct books to you once we have received your return.
In the case of damaged books, we will ship new, undamaged books to you once we have received your return.
If you would like a refund for the incorrect order or the damaged books, the refund will be processed once we have received your return.
Important! If the reason for your return is not the result of an error on the part of Less Than Three Press or damage during shipping, you are responsible for shipping for the item you are returning.
Can I cancel an order?
Orders can only be cancelled prior to the books being shipped. To cancel an order, contact us. If your order has not been shipped, we will process a refund.
If your order has been shipped, you will need to return the product in order for us to process your refund. Important! You will be responsible for shipping for returning the item.
What are reward points?
Reward points are one way Less Than Three Press rewards our customers! For every purchase you make in the Book Market, you earn reward points. Each dollar you spend earns one reward point; each reward point is worth $0.05 off your next purchase. For example, if you buy an ebook at $3.99, you earn 4 reward points, worth $0.20 off your next order.
Note that you cannot redeem reward points you earn for an order on that order (e.g., in the above example, you cannot apply the $0.20 off to the $3.99 order).
How do I check my reward points balance?
To view your reward points balance, go to the Book Market. Log in to your account in the Login box in the sidebar. Once you are logged in, you can view your reward points in the sidebar box titled Reward Points.
How do I redeem my reward points?
Place your order in the Book Market. During Step 2 of 3 - Payment Information, you will see a box titled Reward Points. Click the check box to redeem your current reward point balance against your order; deselect the box to save your reward points for another day.
How can I redeem a coupon code?
If you receive a coupon code for the Book Market, you can redeem the coupon during Step 2 of 3 - Payment Information in the box titled Coupon Codes. Coupons are redeemed when you click Continue to move to step 3 of the checkout process.
Unless otherwise stated, there is a limit of one coupon per customer. You cannot use the same coupon code on multiple orders. Less Than Three Press reserves the right to lock out accounts for users who create multiple accounts to use coupon codes on multiple orders.
Can I share my account with another user?
No—only one person can access the serial fiction using the same account. Our subscription software is set up to track IP addresses and to lock accounts that are accessed by a certain number of different IP addresses within a specific time frame (and nope, we're not telling how many in what amount of time).
Can I share an ebook I have purchased with a friend?
No. In accordance with copyright laws in the United States, ebooks and published serial fiction on our website may not be shared with readers in any format. You may not copy, print, share, or resell ebooks or serial fiction published by Less Than Three Press. Please respect our authors and their works and do not trade or share books illegally.
Who is on the LT3 team?
LT3 is primarily staffed and run by:

What does Less Than Three mean?
The 'less than' symbol followed by the number '3' (as in <3) is the text emote for a heart. What better symbol and name for promoting m/m romantic fiction?
